Model and performance analysis of non-uniform piezoelectric semiconductor nanofibers

In order to evidently improve the working performance of piezotronic devices, non-uniform piezoelectric semiconductor fibers with contoured profiles are designed. However, apart from finite element method, it's hard achieve analytical descriptions electromechanical fields in these because governing equations variable coefficients. For solving this bottleneck and exploring improved new phenomena caused by profile, a power series expansion method is proposed based on framework one-dimensional linearized model further applied analyze performances n-type PN junctions. It revealed via systematical numerical simulations that antisymmetry broken profile coupling. Meanwhile, barrier configuration junction sensitive variation cross-sectional area. Furthermore, current-voltage relation necking heterogeneous can be manipulated more conveniently external mechanical loadings, meaning sensitivity device improved. Not limited profiles, exhibits broad applicability, which still available for multiple-coupled properties functional graded media.
